Honestly, who is Cleopatra?I know she is an Egyptian queen but I want to know the full info about her!?

I know what your thinking, “don’t you know Cleopatra?” Well, firstly I DO know who Cleopatra is. She was one of the Egyptian queens, but who was she known for besides as an Egyptian queen? Her beauty? How long did she live and when did she die? Was she in a Egyptian royal family? I want to know the biography of her and the facts about her!

She was actually the 7th of that name. Her family, the Ptolemy dynasty, were of Greek origin. She was supposed to be smarter than she was beautiful. When her father died she became her 10 year old brother’s wife, quite normal, and ran the kingdom when he took the throne, she probably had him killed after she started her affair with Julius Caesar two or three years later. After Caesar’s murder she took up with Marcus Antonius and their affair put her squarely in the middle of Roman politics which were fairly deadly at the time. After Antonius’ death she was placed under arrest by his rival Octavian, who wound up as the new Caesar. The story goes that she killed herself rather than face the humiliation of a captured enemy in Rome. Another theory has her being poisoned and gotten out of the way.
